Teen Like.

My First Blog!
I just love writing.
It's kind of a secret passion of mine. Yes, you're the first to know.
:)
So here's my four cents.

Teenage relationships are funny.
People tend to find the first single and attractive person they find, and "like" them. What does that even mean?
I "like" my best friend. I "like" my dog. I "like" spaghetti. I mean really? Shouldn't love be deeper than spaghetti?

I see relationships that literally, every other word out of their mouth is "I love you".
You think I'm kidding.
While it's sweet, and sometimes one of the simplest ways to show how you feel, it's a bit overused. Especially when you've only met the person recently, decided they were cute, and what do you know? You're in love with them.
Personally, I don't want to waste my time on someone who isn't going to be my husband, you know? I mean, if I decided to go out with them after I just met them, the chances of our marriage are like 2 in a million. Why waste emotion on that person? Like, what's the POINT?

Maybe you're that 2 in a million. Lucky duck! It's definitely possible.
But my point is that I'm seriously worried about the teenage population if love is measured by how many times you say "I love you". They're just words. Or how many times you have sex. That's just childish.

Or how about just good old fashion getting to know the person? What would happen if all relationships started out as best friendships? From my perspective, THOSE are the ones that thrive.

Girls: Don't fall for a guy just because he says you're pretty or flirts a lot. Who knows, maybe he says that to every girl? Get to really know him as just a friend. And if God wants it to be, it WILL. But not every guy you meet will be Prince Charming. I sure wish someone had told me that.

Guys: Don't be dumb. Girls are easily led on. Don't create broken hearts, mend them. Be the guy who cares deeply for a girl, not romantically, but like you would your own best friend. They like that, I promise. And who knows what might come out of it?

I don't know. Call me wrong if you like. It doesn't bother me at all.
It's just my opinion...
